She's the daughter of Shawnee State golf coach Dave Hopkins and granddaughter of late state-title-winning Portsmouth boys basketball coach Dick Hopkins. Dave Hopkins also was a five-time Southern Ohio Conference championship coach at Portsmouth Notre Dame.
